Submission Guidelines
Journal of Communication Politics and Society (COMPOS) is cross disciplinary in scope and publishes original manuscripts that address the theory, practice and the relationship between theory and practice, in communication, politics, culture, society and its related fields. The editors welcome both conceptual and empirical papers with theoretical, methodological and conceptual approaches. It is important to note that the manuscript submitted to COMPOS should be clear concise understandable to reviewers and research colleagues from a broad range of Social Science, and humanities disciplines. Materials and methods should be complete enough, results should be presented with clarity and precision and the discussion should interpret the findings in view of the results obtained in the current and in the past studies.
The main purpose of COMPOS is to provide an intellectual platform for the international scholars and to promote interdisciplinary studies in Mass Communication and Media studies. COMPOS publishes original papers, review papers, analytical and simulation models, case studies and book reviews. Manuscript Structure
Abstract & Key words
The manuscript document should include an abstract of 150-200 words in a single paragraph, with 4 to 6 keywords reflecting the topic. The abstracts of research manuscript should include the objective, purpose, methodology, theoretical or thematic framework, findings, results with contributions to the literature and conclusion.
Full Paper Format
The length of the manuscript should be between 4000 – 6000 words including references, appendices figures etc. The title should be centered, 14 point size, black and bold, Authors, affiliation, centered, 12 point size, superscripts of different affiliation (1,2...) Main text: Times New Roman, 12 point size 1.5 line spaced typescript. All pages must be numbered starting from the abstract page. For the references, tables and figures the author(s) should follow the American Psychological Association Style (APA) Manual (fifth edition). Manuscripts and abstracts must be in English. If abbreviations used, the terms should first be written out in full followed by their abbreviations in parenthesis.
Texts Figures & Tables
Text, figures and tables must be in a single Microsoft Word file preferably in Times New Roman font with 12 points. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively with titles or headings and they should be referred to in the text.
